Steve Horowitz

Steve has over 35 years experience in Telecommunications. He started his career at Executone, Inc. where for 12 Years, he directed the initial venture of bringing in Telephone Systems from Japan and preparing them for the US Market.

He then joined NEC Business Systems Division for 8 years as Assistant General Manger and then 10 years as Vice President of Computer Telephony for Telrad Networks.

Steve is presently President of SL Com, Inc., a Communications Consultancy, and Adjunct Professor at Briarcliffe College .

Steve has spent his career leading development and marketing groups bringing Telecommunication Systems to the US Market from overseas. His expertise is primarily in IP Telephony, PBX/KEY Telephone Systems, Computer Telephony and Call Center Technology.

As a member of various EIA Committees, Steve participated in writing Key/PBX Telephone Specifications in the early days of Divesture and participated in formulating Part 68 and Part 15 of the FCC Rules which all Telephone Systems marketed in the US must comply with.

Steve is currently a member of the Association of IT Professionals (AITP) and the Contingency Planning Exchange (CPE). He is Chairman of LISTnet's CTI-Wireless SIG Group and also a founding Board Member of ExecuLeaders, a leading networking group on Long Island .

Steve is a Mentor for OPLITE (Outreach Program for Long Island Technology Education) which is a comprehensive outreach program of Stony Brook University to educate Long Island Students about the Job Markets being created by the information and emerging technology surge.

He is currently affiliated with several charities on Long Island including the Arthritis Foundation and the Long Island Fight for Charity.

Steve is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University.





Steve Asnen

Steve has more than 35 years experience in Telecommunications. Steve was first employed with Scantlin Electronics; where he managed the installation of stock market quotation systems and produced a daily television show, "The Stock Market Observer" on WPIX Channel 11.

He then joined IT&T - C. E. S. D., leading the installation of PBX and Key Telephone systems throughout Long Island.

Steve next spent 11 years with Executone, where as Product Manager of Telephone Systems, he provided conceptual system design for several Japanese produced Key Telephone Systems. Steve spearheaded the marketing and installation of more than 115,000 of these systems.

Steve moved onto NEC Business Systems Division, where he was Director of Field Support and Training, in charge of a nationwide field service organization for NEC's Key Telephone Systems.

Prior to joining SL Com, Steve was employed at Global Crossing (IPC Information Systems) for 8 years as the Product Manager of 3rd Party Products. These products included Video Conference, Video & Voice Recording, PBX & Key Telephone systems for use by Financial Trading Stock Market companies worldwide.

Steve obtained his BA, in Business Administration, from Queens College.





Andrew Weitzberg

Andrew Weitzberg has been in the Communications Industry for over 25 years. His experience includes Telephone Equipment, Voice, VOIP, Ethernet, Transport and Fiber Optics.

Andrew is a Board member of LIFT IT, and the LI Chapter of The Continuity Planning Exchange (a Disaster Recover Educational Organization). Andrew is Chairman of the LIFT IT Wireless Committee.

Andrew's expertise is in backbone transport fiber optic connectivity.

Andrew has worked with SL Com since it's inception and with Steve Horowitz for over 20 years.
